Director of Sports Performance / Head Sports Performance Coach
What do you enjoy most about coaching?
Helping athletes improve their overall skillset is an awesome feeling, but the opportunity to connect with and build lasting, meaningful relationships with each individual is by far my favorite aspect of coaching.
Who is your favorite type of client to work with?
I love working with clients that live by the principle: If something was easy, everyone would do it!
In which area do you excel the most in your job?
The ability to connect with each individual and find what motivates them most. It’s amazing what we can accomplish when our desire to succeed is stronger than that little voice telling us to quit.
When did you start working for DFP? I began working for DFP Katy in May 2020.
Did you play any high school, college, and pro sports?
Before graduating from Katy High School in 2009, I played football and baseball for the Tigers. While Texas high school football was an incredible experience, I decided to pursue my first passion upon entering college… baseball. I was fortunate enough to be a part of the first College World Series team in school history at Texas Christian University in 2010, and was on the National Runner-Up JUCO team at San Jacinto Junior College in 2012. I finished my baseball and academic career at Texas State University in 2014.
Degrees, certifications, and accolades…
BA in Communication Studies, Minor in Psychology from Texas State University. NESTA Certified Fitness Nutrition Coach & Sports Nutrition Specialist.
Tell us something about yourself?
I think breakfast for dinner was one of the greatest ideas in the history of the world.
